More Leaves!

It's interesting how different images appeal to different people.  I'm one of those always drawn to leaves & I love flourishes.  No wonder I added the beautiful Impression Obsession Collage Leaf 5 to my collection quite awhile ago. Had to use it for another Fall Colors card to enter the current IO Challenge.  Years ago I bought several Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pads & don't know if I've ever used the one called Flannel.  It is gorgeous brayered onto glossy paper--don't you agree?  The leaf was stamped in gold on a ivory panel sponged with kraft ink.  Then I stamped them on the brayered piece, lining up the images.  Gold splatters were added with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass--my favorite!  The IO sentiment, A8783, is gold embossed, trimmed into a flag, wrapped with gold thread, embellished with 3 brown pearls & mounted with foam tape.
This will probably go to my sister at Thanksgiving. I'm also entering the challenge at Pixies Snippets Playground & Addicted to Stamps.

  3. Beautiful card. I love that you are so far ahead and making fall cards. I'm also glad to hear you bought ink years ago and never used it until now. That makes me feel so much better! I've had my perfect pearls for at least four years and never used them until a week or so ago. I really didn't know what to do with them.

  21. I love fall & leaves and rich colors too, so this one is a winner to me. Congratulations on your Playground highlight, well deserved too. The deep colors of the brayering look so elegant with the beautiful gold leaves embossed. It worked wonderfully as a border, with just enough emphasis to accentuate the gold embossing on the white. Not overpowering, as it could be, with the entire card done in the rich luxe colors. Great color, design and just beautiful. TFS
